user interface

Dash Navigation (GPS two ways connected device and MyDash.net) :

Dash is creating the first GPS for daily commuter. This user knows where he is going, the purpose of buying a dash is elsewhere. It is not in getting directions...

This user wants to know at what time he needs to leave in order to get in a certain places at a certain moment. Quite different from the casual user of GPS who just need it because he does not know where he is going. Dash device will deliver the best traffic data ever thanks to a new concept based on the driving network. Yes, it is a connected GPS. Real live cars sending real live traffic information to a server to re-distribute it to all the dash drivers. want to know about dash go on http://www.dash.net/

Picture People Ecommerce application 2006 (SmileStore):

Picture People first ecommerce solution was a out of the box solution developped by Centrics. I worked on the look & feel as requested knowing that the user interface was not appropriate for our users.
One month after the launch, customer services started complaining about the number of calls they got. After a year of trying to improve the user interface, I took the initiative to re-think and re-design our ecommerce.

Click below to see a Power Point presented to the Executive Team and that will serve as a reference to the new Ecommerce partners (Zazzle.com) to develop the second and brand new version of our Ecommerce. here.

You can see studies by clicking here, and you can use the application itself by clicking here.

e-commerce application for the Picture People: SmileStore 2005 (V1):

We created a shopping section to our website in 2005. The application was already developed, so workflows were not changeable. I did my best to design an interface with the the look and feel of the Picture People website, to be implemented on a ready to use application, knowing that the user will suffer using it.

You can see some workflows study below where I tried to solve navigation problems in a future version...

You can access some screen shots below too.

Appointment Book System

We created an appointement book system to replace the paper still in use in the 200 Picture People stores. This browser based application was attach to a touch screen computer place at the entrance of each store to allow customer to check-in. Their name will then be display on a screen helping them evaluating the waiting time.

Several employees should be able to book appointment in the same time. This web based application will be soon place on the Picture people website to allow an online booking. Settings will be added as a version 2 to controle the numebr of camera room available, the start time and end time or each store, the over booking, the photographer preference, the email system reminder... I did the product feature list and prioritisation, the user request analysis, the usability study, the workflow chart, the graphic design and the implementation of the UI on the asp code.

OLRP System

We created an Oragnisation Leadership Review Process appointement to allow H&R to verify review ratings for each individual. Different access right will customize the interface. Each employee should be able to login and fill out her/his objectif achievement, each manager should be able to manage every employee objectifs. I did the graphic design and the implementation of the UI on the asp code.

Reef InternetWare Interface

I did the conception, the realization and the implementation of the GUI (Graphical user interface) of a suite of internet application during 2 years and for 3 main release. I have been in charge of the entire set of Reef’s applications, which represent 8 different products. Today, I’m a “user interface product manager”; I’m specifying the interface in term of ergonomic, usability, design and customization.

Reef QuickStart

We created a light application in term of price and in term of feature to target small business. I worked with product manager team to prioritize features and to create a simplified user interaction model. I worked with a French designer team to create a really light and minimal design. I created product feautres and interface usability demo in Viewlet Builder to help the positionning and help the sales people to sell this product.
